Theodore Smith Art Scholarship
Ted was very active in Art and Photography while attending CPHS as well as his time after.
It was Ted’s wish to become active in the newly formed CPHS Alumni Association but was unable to do so before his passing. With that in mind, his family has decided to start the Ted Smith Art Scholarship. His wife and daughter will be a part of selecting the recipient of the art scholarship from applications received from CPHS students.
The Theodore Smith Art Scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded to the student elected by the Ted Smith Art Scholarship committee and will require a digital art work portfolio be submitted.

Portrait of a Graduate Scholarship
Over the past few years, CPHS has adopted a “Portrait of a Graduate”. A Crown Point High School graduate has always been unique, but a group of teachers and students have outlined the core values that should be developed in all graduates. Crown Point High School identified these values and called them the 6 C’s. They are:
College
Value, pursue, and obtain post secondary education and training
Career
Experience, develop, and practice professional ethics, attitudes, and skills
Citizenship
Advocate, initiate, and engage in self and community improvement
Creativity
Imagine, construct, and communicate Ideas, emotions, and solutions
Courage
Demonstrate character and leadership through words, decisions, and actions.
Culture
Identify, appreciate, and respect the perspectives and expressions of diverse people, places, and times.
The Portrait of a Graduate is a $500 scholarship offered to the student that best exemplifies all 6 of the C’s, however, achieving all 6 may be difficult for most, applicantions will still be accepted as long as you can document meeting 4 of the 6 C’s.
